Abstract
Abstract: Teachers Efforts to Improve Student Learning Interests Against IPS Lesson In Class VIII student at SMP Negeri 4 Makassar. This study is a qualitative research, with data collection techniques such as obsen-ation. interviews, and documentation. This study aims to describe the efforts of teachers to improve student interest in social studies in eighth grade students in Junior High School 4 Makassar. The data have been obtained from the results of the study were processed using qualitative analysis to determine how the image class VIII student interest in SMP 4 Makassar, and the efforts of teachers in raising interest in the Junior High School social studies 4 Makassar. The results showed that the picture of student interest tend to depend largely on the method of presenting the material as well as the media used by the teacher. Efforts teachers to improve student interest in learning has been running well since the ability of teachers to teach using several methods and strategies that can increase student interest.
