Abstract
Abstract Contrastive analysis is one of the workings of language analysis which basically aims to provide knowledge about the similarities and differences between LI and L2, explain and predict the possibilities of problems that will arise in the study L2, and to develop teaching materials of L2 in the framework of language teaching. Contrastive study is motivated chiefly by the foreign language teacher’s need to uncover important areas of difference between the language he is teaching and that of his students, the value of contrastive analysis as a way to evaluate the postulations and claims of linguistic theory itself not be overlooked. Through comparison of the two or more languages of culture, it can be known about the use of available data of words that have accompanied the words by frequency of use. In addition, the results of the comparison can be used to conduct research on teaching L2.
