Abstract
Abstract The purpose of this study is to obtain data on the effectiveness of EGRA learning model (Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, Application) in the skill of writing simple essay German class XII IA SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. This research type is quasi experimental design (two group pretest-posttest design). The population of this study is the students of class XII IA SMA Negeri 2 Makassar, amounting to 316 students from eight classes. The sample in this study was chosen randomly (random sampling): students of class XII IA 2, amounting to 36 students as experimental class and students of class XII IA 3 which amounted to 36 students as control class. Data were analyzed by using t-test analysis. Result of data analysis show that th 3.068> tt 1.997 at alpha level of 0.05. The results showed that the EGRA learning model (Exposure, Generalization, Reinforcement, Application) was effective in the skill of writing simple essay of German class XII IA SMA Negeri 2 Makassar.
