Abstract

PROBLEMATICS OF DEVELOPMENT OF INTEREST IN DANCE IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN SMA NEGERI 1 SENDANA SULBAR ANDI NURUL GHURFA 1682042031 Dance and Music Drama Education Study Program Department of Performing Arts Faculty of Art and Design Makassar public university Andi Nurul Ghurfa, 2020. "Problems in the Development of Interest in Dance in Extracurricular Activities at SMA Negeri 1 Sendana Sulbar". Thesis, Department of Performing Arts, Faculty of Art and Design, Makassar State University. This research aims to find out: (1) How are the problems associated with students in developing interest in dance in extracurricular activities at SMA 1 Sendana Sulbar, (2) What are the problems associated with teachers in developing interest in dance in extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Senda Sulbar, (3) How are the problems associated with the means of developing interest in dance in extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Sendana Sulbar. This type of research is a qualitative approach case study. Data were collected by means of observation, interviews, documentation. The results show that the problems that arise in the development of interest in dance in extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Sendana Sulbar include: 1) As a result of developing interest in dance, students in participating in extracurricular dance activities feel bored and bored because the material is too monotonous so that they cannot develop dance talent more deeply in the field of dance, not enriching their knowledge and experience in the field of dance. 2) The extracurricular teacher or coach, Suraeda Syamsul S, Pd, he only monitors or observes the process of extracurricular training, while the most dominant teaching is the trainer. They are unable to overcome obstacles in developing dance talent. Judging from the educational history of the coach, he graduated from dance education while his trainer graduated from theater, but because there was no support from the school principal so that his guidance was not complete. 3) In developing interest in dance through dance extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Sendana this has not been achieved and has not developed better. Because in the development of interest in dance through extracurricular activities carried out without making preparations such as providing facilities and infrastructure for dance extracurricular activities, besides that there is no support from the principal, this is a problematic development of student interest in following dance extracurricular activities.
