Abstract

ABSTRAK Chandra Iqbal. 2013. “Keefektifan Pembelajaran Berbicara Melalui Metode Cooperative Script dalam Menjelaskan Hasil Wawancara Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang.” Dibimbing oleh Abdullah Dola dan Ramly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan metode cooperative script dalam pembelajaran berbicara pada materi menjelaskan hasil wawancara siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupten Sidenreng Rappang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang yang berjumlah 285 orang. Dengan cara cluster random sampling terpilih kelas XI IPA 4 sebanyak 31 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan, yaitu observasi, tes. Data yang diperoleh dengan dua cara dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pembelajaran berbicara dalam menjelaskan hasil wawancara pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang dengan menerapkan metode cooperative script dikategorikan memadai. Di antara 31 orang siswa, terdapat 27 siswa yang memeroleh nilai di atas 75 atau 87%. Berbeda dengan hasil pembelajaran berbicara dalam menjelaskan hasil wawancara pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang tanpa menerapkan metode cooperative script dikategorikan tidak memadai karena nilai yang diperoleh siswa belum mencapai kriteria yang ditetapkan, yaitu 85% dari jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai 75 ke atas. Sementara perolehan nilai siswa hanya mencapai 48,38% atau sebanyak 15 siswa. Kedua, metode cooperative script efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran berbicara dalam menjelaskan hasil wawancara siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Hal ini tampak pada nilai thitung > nilai ttabel sama dengan 4,689 > 2,00 dengan signifikansi (p) 0,919. Kaidah yang digunakan adalah jika p < 0,05. Kesimpulannya adalah bahwa hipotesis diterima sehingga metode cooperative script efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran berbicara pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan diterima, yaitu jika p > 0,05. ABSTRACT CHANDRA IQBAL. 2014. Effectiveness of Teaching Speaking through the Cooperative Script Method in Explainning the Interview Results of Students in Class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang in Sidenreng Rappang District (supervised by Abdullah Dola and Ramly) This study aimed to describe the efectiviness of cooperative script method in speaking on the material of describing the interview result of student in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang in Sidenreng Rappang district. The research is an experiment study wich used a quasi-experimental research design. The study populations were 285 students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang in Sidenreng Rappang district which divided into seven classes. The samples were 31 people taken through cluster random sampling method and obtained class XI IPA 4 as an experimental class. The techniques used to collect the data were a test and observation techniques. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics analiysis. The results showed that the speaking learning outcomes in explaining the results of the interview in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang in Sidenreng Rappang district by implementing cooperative script method is categorized as sufficient. Among the 31 students, there are 27 student scoring above 75 or 87%. In contrast, the results of the learning speaking ability of students who were not taught by using cooperative script method is insufficient because the score obtained by the students who received score over 75; while the score of student’ reaches 48.38% or only 15 student. Secondly, cooperative script method effectively applied to speaking learning in explaining the interview results of student in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang in Sidenreng Rappang. It can be seen from the value of tcount > ttabel value which is equal to 4,689 > 2.00 by the significance (p) 0,919 of p < 0.05. The conclusion is that the hypothesis is accepted that script cooperative method is effective to be applied in teaching speaking in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Panca Rijang. It indicates that the proposed hypothesis is accepted if p> 0.05.
