Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE INDEX CARD MACTH LEARNING METHOD ON STUDENT LEARNING ACTIVITY IN BASIC ACCOUNTING SUBJECTS IN CLASS X ACCOUNTING AT SMK NEGERI 1 MAKASSAR. PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN INDEX CARD MATCH TERHADAP KEAKTIFAN BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN AKUNTANSI DASAR KELAS X AKUNTANSI SMK NEGERI 1 MAKASSAR Hidayat Harsudi Pendidikan Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Makassar Email: Harsudihidayat@gmail.com SUMMARY This research aimed to study the effect of the index card match learning method on student learning activity in basic accounting subjects in class X Accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The variables in this research were (1) index card match learning method as an independent variable (X) was measured by using the index card match learning method indicator, namely index card preparation, an explanation from the teacher, distribution of index cards, looking for pairs of cards, and fellow student quizzes and (2) activeness of student learning as the dependent variable (Y) which was measured using indicators of visual activities, oral activities, listening activities, metric activities, mental activities, and emotional activities. The populations in this research were all students of class X accounting at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar consisting of 140 students. The sampling techniques used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a sample as many as 35 students out of a total of Grade X Accounting 1 students at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The data were collected through observation and documentation. The data analyzed using the instrument test consisting of data validity analysis and statistical data analysis using the SPSS 25.0 program for windows. The results showed that the index card match learning method had a positive and significant effect on student learning activeness with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,609 or 61 percent. This means that the index card match learning method has a contribution to student learning activeness by 61 percent and the rest 39 percent was influenced by other factors not examined.
