Abstract
Abstract This research intended to gain a picture empirically about the immplementation of the steps of explanation method, demonstration method, and experiment method used by the teacher in teaching science at elementary school in Kecamatan Tanete Riattang Kabupaten Bone. This research was a description research which the population was the elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tanete Riattang Kabupaten Bone. The samples was 92 persons gianed trough total sampling technique. The data was collected trough quetionnaire and interview and then analized with descreptive percentage technique. Based on the result of the research it was known that explanation method more dominant than two other methods (demonstration and experiment method), and it was concluded that the implementaion frequency of explanation was higher than demonstration and experiment, and also two latest methods still have inadequate attention from the teacher in teaching science. Thus, it was suggested that the teacher should have profound knowlegde about demonstration and experiment method so that it can be implented in the learning process. Beside that, it was also suggested to Diknas party to provide adequate infrastructure for those methods implementation.
