Abstract

This research aims: (1) To find out what is the average percentage of waiting period for accounting alumni of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Makassar, (2) to find out what percentage of the types of work of the alumni in accordance with the competence of graduates of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Makassar, (3) to find out where are the workplaces or the institutions where the alumni of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economic, Universitas Negeri Makassar work, and (4) to find out the average income or salary of alumni of the accounting study program of Universitas Negeri Makassar of Economic Faculty. The variable of this study is Tracer Study as measured using four (4) indicators which are waiting periods of work, types of work, workplaces, and salary or income. The population in this study were 171 alumni of the S1 FE UNM accounting study program in the class of 2011-2013 who graduated in 2016-2019 totaling 171 alumni by taking sample using saturation sampling method. Data collection was done by using questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis was performed by using quantitative descriptive analysis with percentage and rank spearmen correlation test. The results of this study were (1) the average waiting period for the alumni of accounting study program, The Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Makassar in getting a job is less than or equal to three months which is 69 percent, (2) the average of type of work in accordance with the competence of graduates of the accounting study program, The Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Makassar, is 68 percent, (3) the average workplace for alumni or the institution where the alumni of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Makassar is Private Companies, which is 68 percent and (4) the average income of alumni of the accounting study program at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Makassar is in the range of Rp1.000.000 – Rp2.999.999, which is 38 percent as well as other findings in this study.
