Abstract

Selly Rahayu, 2020. The Difference in Learning Achievement Viewed from the Student Gender Perspective in the Department of Engineering PTSP Faculty of Engineering UNM. (Supervised by: Irma Aswani Ahmad and Qadriathi Dg Bau). This study aims to find out: (1) analyzing learning achievement in male students, (2) analyzing learning achievement in female students, (3) knowing the significant difference in learning achievement in 4 subject groups between male and female students. This research uses descriptive comparative method. The number of samples consisted of 72 students. The data collection technique used is documentation. The collected data was then analyzed using the SPSS Program for Windows 22.0. The results showed that: (1) The learning achievements of male students of 2014, 2015 and 2016 in the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning FT UNM were in the satisfactory category with an average learning achievement of 2.60, (2) Student achievement of female students class of 2014, 2015, and 2016 in the Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning FT UNM are in the very satisfying category with an average learning achievement of 3.14, (3) The results of inferential analysis state that the drawing subjects, general courses, and education groups there is a difference in learning achievement in male and female students because the value of tvalue > ttable, where H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there are differences in the learning achievements of male and female students. the difference in male and female students because of the calculated tvalue < ttable. Which is H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected, meaning that there is no difference in the learning achievements of male and female students. Keywords: Learning achievement is based on 4 groups of drawing, counting, general courses, and education courses and gender.
