Abstract

Abstract A person's psychological well-being level is related to the level of positive functioning that occurs in life. Individuals with limited physical disabilities since birth experience some barriers in living their lives as well as other healthy individuals. The purpose of this study is to understand how the dynamics of happiness sufferers of lobster claws syndrome who are able to actualize themselves positively with their physical limitations. A qualitative approach is used to understand the process retrospectively. Three main participants were involved in the study. The process of collecting data is done through in-depth interview methods to both the main participants and those closest to them. Data analysis was done by case study method. The study found six main themes of positive self-receptiveness, good attachment to the nearest person, especially the family, the ability to adapt to the environment periodically, have hope for the future, realize their own potential, and try to work independently.
