Abstract

Abstract: Entrepreneurship learning objectives can provide students with competencies through three dimensions, i.e.: 1) managerial skills, 2) technical production skills, and 3) personality developmental skills. The process of entrepreneurship learning in technology and vocation education is the internalization of entrepreneurial values in learning materials. Learning methods through the integration process will make the process of the internalization of values inherent in an individual occur. This entrepreneurship learning model developed in vocational high schools (VHSs) employed the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). The contextual approach is a learning concept which helps the teachers to link the learning materials to the students’ real-world situations and encourages the students to make connections between their knowledge and its application in their daily life. Therefore, learning strategies are more important than just outcomes. The contextual learning is developed to equip the students with the knowledge that can be applied flexibly in one problem and other problems, and in one context and other contexts. The entrepreneurship learning model that has been developed is very effective to be used in VHSs. This is supported by the results of the study that has been conducted; the entrepreneurship learning model in VHSs (the PKw-Ekskul model) that has been developed satisfies the criteria and is very effective. The effectiveness is indicated by the fact that: (a) the students show changes in the entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors that become better; (b) they show improving entrepreneurial learning activities; (c) their learning motivation and entrepreneurial spirit improve; and (d) they and the teachers respond positively to the application of the PKw-Ekskul model.
