Abstract

Abstract: The Study aims at examining the effect of the use Problem Based learning models on the student’s learning outcomes in science subject. This study used an experimental research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all student ini SDN 028 Pekkabata. Determination of sample class used random sampling method. Thus, it was obtained class I, class IV Melati as the esperimental class, and clas IV Mawar as the control class. Data were obtained by test of l student’s learning outcomes, and observation sheet techniques, wich were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistic analyzes. The result of the study revel that (1) the description of the implementation of the PBL model in the experimental class is in the good category (2) The description of students' science learning outcomes in the experimental class is higher than the control class (3) there is an influence of the application of the Problem Based Learning model to the learning outcomes of fourth grade students in natural science subjects. Key Words : Learning model, problem based learning, student outcomes.
