ABSTRAK MUJAHIDAH. 2014. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation (GI) Terintegrasi Metode Inkuiri Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Siswa (dibimbing oleh Hamzah Upu dan Muhiddin Palennari) Penelitian ini bertujuan (i) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Maros yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri; (ii) Untuk mengetahui tingkat hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Maros yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri; (iii) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Maros; (iv) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Maros. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah pra eksperimen (pre-experimental design) dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari satu kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Maros tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 35 orang siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis dan tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur hasil belajar biologi siswa pada materi sistem koordinasi yang berbentuk pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji inferensial (uji-t berpasangan (paired sample). Analisis deskriptif menggambarkan terjadi peningkatan dari pretest ke posttest untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata pretest untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis 44,42 dari skor ideal 100 dan standar deviasi 11,42. Rata-rata postest 82,14 dari skor ideal 100 dan standar deviasi 6,99. Sedangkan, rata-rata pretest untuk hasil belajar 43,16 dari skor ideal 100 dan standar deviasi 13,28 . Rata-rata posttest 79,42 dari skor ideal 100 dan standar deviasi 7,51. Hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation terintegrasi metode inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar biologi siswa. The Influence of Cooperative Learning Model of Group Investigation Type Integrated with Inquiry Method Toward Critical Thinking Ability and Students Results in Learning Biology Subject (guided by Hamzah Upu and Muhiddin Palennari) This study aimed at examining (i) the level of students' critical thinking ability on Biology subject of grade XI IPA at SMAN 1 Maros taught by employing cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type integrated with inquiry method; (ii) the level of students results in learning Biology subject of grade XI IPA at SMAN 1 Maros taught by employing cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type integrated with inquiry method; (iii) the influence of the utilization of cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type integrated with inquiry method toward students' critical thinking ability on Biology subject of Grade XI IPA at SMAN 1 Maros; (iv) the influence of the utilization of cooperative learning model of Group Investigation type integrated with inquiry method toward the student learning results in learning Biology subject of grade XI IPA at SMAN 1 Maros. This study was a pre-experimental research with one group pretest - posttest design. Sample of the study consisted of one class, grade XI IPA2 at SMAN 1 Maros, academic year 2013/2014 as 35 students. Samples were taken by employing random sampling technique. The instruments of the study were test of critical thinking to measured critical thinking ability and test of learning result to measure students result in biology learning on the coordination system in form of multiple choice. Data were analyzed by employing statistics descriptive and inferential test (paired samples). Descriptive analysis described that there was improvement score from pretest to posttest to measure ccritical thinking ability and student result in Biology learning. The average score of prestest on critical thinking ability was of 44,42 out of the ideal score of 100 and standar deviation of 11,42. The average score of posttest was of 82,14 out of the ideal score of 100 and standar deviation of 6,99. Whereas, the average score of prestest on students learning result of 43,16 out of the ideal score of 100 and standar deviation of 13,28 and the average of posttest of 79,42 out of the ideal score of 100 and standar deviation of 7,51. The results of inferential analysis that there was influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type integrated with inquiry method toward the students' critical thinking ability and there was significant influence of cooperative learning model group investigation type integrated of inquiry method toward the student learning results of Biology.
