Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research for descript: 1) The implementation of Art-Cultural learning at class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur. 2) The problems faced by teacher in Art - Cultural learning at class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur. This research was survey research by using descriptive approach and using descriptive qualitative methode. The data source of this research was teacher who teaching Art - Cultural learning at class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur, especially at the class XI IPA 1 female by 33 students, class XI IPA 1 male by 23 students, class XI IPS female by 28 students and the last class XI IPS 1 male by 23 students. The technics of data collectin used three ways such as observation, interview, and als documentation. Than, the data analisis which used by the researcher was descriptive qualitatife. The result of this research describe some points such as: 1) The implementation of Art - Culture learning at class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur which consist of three steps namely: preparing, implementation and evaluatin of Art - Culture learning. In preparing step. The teacher did not improve and explore the plan of implementation learning, syllabus, purpose of the learning, material as well as teacher did not used the media or tools Art - Culture learning. Next in the implementation learning step. The teacher did not use the plan of implementation learning and syllabus. She just do practical learning to her students, for example making eggshell mosaic creation. The teacher gave jobs to her students by using group and individual model learning approach. The teacher seldom use media and materials such as: Art - Culture learning books and the onther sources. The last step was evaluation. The teacher gave evaluation to her students creations. However, the criteria to assesst the result of the students creations was not clear. 2) The Problems faced by the teacher in the implementation of Art - Culture learning at class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur. The were some Problems faced by the the teacher such as: the teacher could not professionally because the did not have Art - Culture learning backround, She also preoccupied to respect her learning competence in her professional field. Furthermore, the facilities and the instructures who provided by the school was not maximal. For example, tet books and the practical rooms of the Art- Culture learning were so limited. The other problems faced by teacher founded in the preparing of the preparing of the Art - Culture learning process, the teacher did not have capability to improve and explore the plan of implementation learning and syllabus. The teacher did not able to explain to her students what is the goals of the Art - Culture learning. She preferred to give practical learning than theoris and als rarely use Art - Culture learning media. The last problem to explain what the assessment aspect which used to easure the result of students’ creations. Key Word: Implementation, Learning, Art – Culture, Teacher, Class X
