Abstract
This research aimed (1) to study student character of accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar, (2) to study student accounting learning achievement of accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar, and (3) to study relationship between student character and student accounting learning achievement of accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar. The variable in this research was (1) the student character as the independent variable and (2) the students’ achievement as the dependent variable. The population was all the students of the accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar consisting of 151 students, while the sample consisting of 54 students. The sampling technique used a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The data analyzed using an instrument test, percentage descriptive analysis, and hypothesis test. The results of the research showed the student character of the accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar overall has an average percentage score of 85,3%, classified as very good. The student accounting learning achievement of the accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 6 Makassar school year 2018/2019 has an average (mean) by 85,70 and classified as good. The result on the coefficient of correlation of product- moment earned the value of the coefficient of correlation by r = 0,538 on the interval 0,40-0,599 which means included in the medium category. This shows that there was a relationship between student characters with student achievement with a degree of closeness was in the medium category. From the results of the analysis, the proposed hypothesis was accepted. Keywords: Student’s Character, Accounting Learning Achievement
