Abstract
This research aimed to study the influence of the teacher as a motivator on students’ learning motivation of accounting skill program in XI accounting class at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The variable in this research was the teacher as a motivator as the independent variable and the students’ learning motivation as the dependent variable. The population was all the students of the XI accounting skill program at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar consisting of 133 students. The sampling technique used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a sample consisting of 57 students taken randomly and propotionally. The data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The data analyzed using instrument test consisting of validity test, reliability test, the descriptive percentage analysis, hypothesis test consist of the simple linear regression analysis, T-table test. The coefficient of determination with used SPSS version 25 for windows. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, the simple linear regression equation model was obtained Y=31,405+0,447X means teacher as a motivator had influenced students’ learning motivation which each addition of 1 value of the teacher as a motivator then the students’ learning motivation has increased by 0,447. The result of the coefficient of determination analysis was (R 2 ) obtained by R 2 =0.201 means that teacher as a motivator had a strong contribution to students learning motivation by 20,1 percent and the rest 79,9 percent influenced by the other factors. The result of the T-table test was obtained the significantly influenced student learning motivation so that the hypothesis was accepted. Keywords: Teacher as a Motivator, Learning Motivation
