Abstract

Abstract: The study aims at examining the descpription of the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS (Think Pair Share) on IPS (Social Sciences) subjects in grade V students, the description of collabooration skills on IPS subjects in grade V students at SD Inpres Laikang Makassar before and after being given cooperative learning model of TPS type, and the influence of implimentation of cooperative learning model of TPS type on collaboration skills in IPS subject in grade V students. This study is caregorized as experiment research, namely true experient design. The research design is pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection technique employed through questionnaire, observation and documentation. The population was all students of grade V with the total of 114 students at SD Inpres Laikang Makassar. The research samples were 38 students of grade VA and 38 students of grade VC. Data analysis techniques employed descriptive analysis and inferentatial analysis. The results of the study reveal that 1) the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type in IPS subjects in grade V students at SD Inpres Laikang in Makassar city which consisted of think stage, pair stage, and share stage obtained the observation result of teaching activities of teacher in first session is in good category and the second category is in very good category, and the observation result of learning activities of students in first session in good category and the second session is un very good category, 2) the collaboration skills in IPS subjects in grade V students at SD Inpes Laikang in Makassar city before the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type is in moderate category; whereas the collaboration skills of students after the implementation of cooperative learning model TPS type is in high category and 3) there is positive influence of the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type on collaboration skills of grade V students at SD Inpres Laikang in Makassar city.
