Abstract
This research aims to determine the effectiveness of capital use through the analysis of rentability. This research is a type of descriptive research that is quantitative. The population in this research is the annual report of PT. Bank Central Asia TBK in 2013-2017, while the samples in this research are the balance sheet and income statement of PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. This research data collection technique is obtained from documentation through IDX official website www.idx.co.id by using a rentability analysis and Du Pont. The results of this research show that PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk has been effective in using its capital and based on the Du Pont analyze known that the factors that cause inconsistency between the profitability ratio with net profit is due to fluctuate of NPM and TATO ratios, as well as equity multiplier that continues to decline. Kata kunci : Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE), Du Pont, Net Profit Margin (NPM), Total Asset Turnover (TATO), and Equity Multiplier.
