Abstract

ABSTRAK EVAIRAWATI. 2012. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi, Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Pada Siswa Kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare (Dibimbing oleh Syamsul Bachri Thalib dan Muhammad Junda). Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw merupakan pembelajaran yang terdiri atas kelompok asal dan kelompok ahli, untuk meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab siswa terhadap pembelajarannya sendiri dan juga pembelajaran orang lain. Siswa tidak hanya mempelajari materi yang diberikan, tetapi siswa juga harus siap memberikan dan mengajarkan materi tersebut pada anggota kelompoknya. Pembelajaran yang didesain untuk meningkatkan motivasi, aktivitas, dan hasil belajar biologi siswa secara klasikal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw. (2) mengetahui peningkatan aktivitas belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw. (3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare yang berjumlah 20 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi siswa pada kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. (2) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa pada kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. (3) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMA Negeri 5 Parepare. ABSTRACT EVAIRAWATI. The Application of Cooperative Learning Model of Jigsaw Type to Improve Motivation, Activity, and Learning Achievement on Biology of Grade XI Students of IPA1 at SMAN 5 Parepare (Supervised by Syamsul Bachri Thalib and Muhammad Junda). A cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type is a learning, which consists of the origin group and the expert group, to enhance students’ responsibility on their own learni ng and others’ learning. Students are not only study the material given, but they also able to give and teach the material to the member of their groups. This learning is designed to improve motivation, activity, and learning achievement of students is learning Biology in a classical way. This study aims at examining (i) the improvement of learning motivation on Biology of grade XI IPA1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare through the application of cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type, (ii) the improvement of learning activity on Biology of grade XI IPA1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare through the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type, and (iii) the improvement of learning achievement on Biology of grade XI IPA1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare through the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type. This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subject of the study was 20 grade XI IPA1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare. The study was conducted on the second semester of academic year 2011/2012. The result of the study reveal that (i) the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type can improve motivation of grade XI IPA 1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare of academic year 2011/2012, (ii) the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type can inprove activity of grade XI IPA1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare of academic year 2011/2012, and (iii) the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type can improve learning achievement of grade XI IPA 1 students at SMAN 5 Parepare of academic year 2011/2012.
