Abstract

The research aims at examining the influence of emotional intelligence, learning interest, academic potential, and learning facility on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar, examining the influence of learning interest on Mathematics learning outcomes, examining the influence of academic potential on Mathematics learning outcomes, examining the influence of learning facility on Mathematics learning outcomes, and examining the influence of emotional intelligence, learning interest, academic potential, and learning facility on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar. The study is ex post facto. The research method employed Multiple Linear Regression. The research variables were emotional intelligence (X1), learning interest variable (X2), academic potential variable (X3), learning facility variable, and Mathematics learning outcomes variable (Y). The research populations of the study were 360 students. The sampling technique used in this study was cluster random sampling with 180 samples. Data collecting techniques were conducted using emotional intelligence questionnaire, learning interest questionnaire, learning facility questionnaire, academic potential test, and Mathematics learning outcomes test. Data collected were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study reveal that 1) the description of emotional intelligence of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar tended to be very high with the average of 199,13; the description of learning interest of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar tended to be very high with the average of 106,97; the description of academic potential of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar tended to be very high with the average of 84,54; the description of learning facility of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar tended to be high with the average of 95,08; and the description of Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar tended to be high with the average of 86,38, 2) there is emotional intelligence, learning interest, academic potential, and learning facility collectively on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar, 3) there is positive influence of emotional intelligence on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar, 4) there is positive influence of learning interest on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar, 5) there is positive influence of academic potential on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar, and 6) there is positive influence of learning facility on Mathematics learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMPN 5 Makassar.
