Abstract

ABSTRAK The study aims at examining the axtent of direct and indirect influence of IMT, blood pressure, and hemoglobin on cardiovascular endurance of students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar. The study is descriptive research. The research populations was all students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar. The sample of the research were 20 students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar who met the criteria. Samples were taken by employing purposive sampling technique based on certain consideration. Data were analyzed by using path analysis. The results of the study reveal that (1) there is direct influence of body mass index (IMT) on cardiovascular endurance of students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar at the significant level 0.005 smaller than α 0.05 ; (2) there is direct influence of blood pressure on cardiovascular endurance of students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar at the significant level 0.046 smaller than α 0.05 ; (3) there is direct influence of hemoglobin on cardiovascular endurance of students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar at the significant level 0.003 smaller than α 0.05 ; (4) there is indirect influence of IMT through hemoglobin on cardiovascular endurance of students at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar at the significant 0.0001 smaller than α 0.05; and (5) there is indirect influence of blood pressure through hemoglobin on cardiovascular endurance of student at SMK Penerbangan Techno Terapan Makassar at the significant level 0.0004 smaller than α 0.05.
