Abstract

EVA SUTRIANA. 2019. Description of the implementation of Experiential Learning Model in Mathematics Learning of Grade X Students at SMA 13 sinjai ( supervised by Ruslan and Muhammad Darwis). The study aims at describing (1) the implementation of experiential learning in mathematics learning, (2) the students’ activities in the mathematics learning through the implementation of experiential learning, (3) the students’ response on mathematics learning through the implementation of experiential learning, and (4) the learning outcomes after implementing experiential learning model. This study is qualitative research. The research subjects were teacher and 5 students of grade X MIPA 1 chosen based on the date result of students which consisted of 1 student in high category, 3 students in moderate category, and 1 student in low category. The data collecting method employed observation sheet, learning test result, and interview. The results of the study reveal that 1) the implementation of experiential learning model based on teacher’s activity reffered to RPP made had been conducted well although there were steps of experiential learning model had not been implemenyed maximally, 2)during the learning activities being conducted by implementing experiential learning model, the students had been involved actively so the teacher domination in learning would be lessen. The most students spent during the learning were the activity that applied the concept obtained in solving the problem which was 17,77% from the ideal time tolerance interval 17-27%; then, activity on paying attention of teacher’s explanation 15,55% from the ideal time tolerance 6-16%, meaning that the students paid attention on teacher’s direction and explanation appropriate whit the set time, 3)the students’ response on the model applied was good, and 4) the mathematics learning outcomes as the impact from the implementation of experiential learning model had achieved classical completeness by 85%. Keywords: experiential learning model, students’ activities, students’response, learning outcomes.
