Abstract

ABSTRACT Amaliah Ansar, 2018.Mathematical modeling of SIRS with Vaccination on the Spread of Malaria (Case Study: Kabuapaten Merauke), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Universitas Negeri Makassar (supervised by Syafruddin Side and Maya Sari Wahyuni). This research, discuss a model of the spread of disease malaria type SIR (Susceptible-Infected-Recovered) Modification is done by adding the assumption that human beings who recover can be vulnerable back exposed to malaria due to loss of immunity. In addition, the treatment given is the treatment and vaccination in humans. In this model, human population is divided into three classes, namely susceptible, infected, and recovered. While the mosquito population is divided into two classes, namely, susceptible and infected. The Data used is the data on the number of patients with malaria from the Health Department in Merauke Regency of the year 2013-2016. This research starts from defining the mathematical model type SIRS, determine the point of equilibrium, the basic reproduction number and use the simulation software by Maple 18. The results of this research to obtain a mathematical model of type SIRS, to obtain two points of equilibrium, as well as the value of the reproduction which is R_0=ρ/(μ_h+ϕ)=0,0013/0.5004=0,0025979 Which indicates R_0 extraordinary event but there is malaria disease in that population Keywords: Equilibrium Point, Basic Reproduction Numbers, Malaria, SIR Model.
