Abstract

ABSTRAK LASAMIN LAMANDAY. 2016. Efektivitas Kombinasi Pendekatan Open-ended dan Pendekatan Saintifik Model Koperatif dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Kelas VII SMPN di Kota Tual. (dibimbing oleh Muhammad Darwis dan Suwardi Annas) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan kombinasi Pendekatan Open-ended dan Pendekatan Saintifik Model Koperatif dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Kelas VII SMPN di Kota Tual meliputi hasil belajar siswa, aktivitas, dan respons siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bercirikan adanya perlakuan (treatment) terhadap objek yang akan diteliti. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Kombinasi Pendekatan Open-ended dan Pendekatan Saintifik Model Koperatif. Satuan eksperimen dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tual dan kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Dullah. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi, angket, dan tes analisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Kriteria efektivitas terpenuhi apabila (1) aktivitas siswa minimal berada pada kategori baik, (2) respons siswa minimal berada pada kategori cenderung positif, (3) hasil belajar siswa untuk posttest ≥ 75, untuk gain ≥ 0,3 serta ketuntasan ≥85%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (i) skor rata-rata gain hasil belajar pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan kombinasi pendekatan Open-ended dan pendekatan saintifik model koperatif di kelas VII2 SMP Negeri 1 Tual berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata aktivitas berada pada kategori baik, dan respons siswa berada pada kategori cenderung positif. (ii) skor rata-rata gain hasil belajar pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan kombinasi pendekatan Open-ended dan pendekatan saintifik model koperatif di kelas VII4 SMP Negeri 1 Dullah berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata aktivitas berada pada kategori baik, dan respons siswa berada pada kategori cenderung positif, (iii) pembelajaran matematika menggunakan kombinasi pendekatan Open-ended dan pendekatan saintifik model koperatif di kelas VII2 SMP Negeri 1 Tual dan di kelas VII4 SMP Negeri 1 Dullah berada pada kategori efektif, (iv) pembelajaran matematika melalui penerapan kombinasi pendekatan Open-ended dan pendekatan saintifik model koperatif efektif dalam pembelajaran matematika pada kelas VII SMP Negeri di kota Tual. The Effectiveness of the Combination of Open-Ended Approach and Scientific Approach of Cooperative Model in Mathematics Learning in Class VII at SMPN in Tual City (supervised by Muhammad Darwis and Suwardi Annas). The research aimed to discover the effectiveness of the implementation of the combination of Open-Ended Approach and Scientific Approach of Cooperative Model in Mathematics learning in class VII at SMPN (Public Junior High Schools) in Tual City which covered the students learning results, activities, and responses. The research was experiment which characterized with treatment to the object of the research. The treatment in the research was Combination of Open-Ended Approach and Scientific Approach of Cooperative Model. The experiment units of the research were the students in class VII at SMPN 1 Tual and the students in class VII at SMPN 1 Dullah. The data of the research were collec ted by using, namely observation sheet, questionnaire, and descriptive and inferential analysis test. The effectiveness criteria was fulfilled if (1) the students’ activities was in good category minimally, (2) the students’ responses was in tended to be positive category minimally, (3) the students’ learning results for posttest ≥ 75, gain ≥ 0.3, and completeness ≥85%. The results of the research revealed that (i) gain average score of learning results in Mathematics learning employed the combination of open-ended approach and scientific approach of cooperative model in class VII 2 at SMPN 1 Tual were in high category with the average score of activities were in good category, and the students responses were in tended to be positive category, (ii) gain average score of learning results in Mathematics learning employed the combination of open-ended approach and scientific approach of cooperative model in class VII 4 at SMPN 1 Dullah were in high category with the average score of activities were in good category, and the students’ responses were in tended to be positive category, (iii) Mathematics learning by using the combination of open-ended approach and scientific approach of cooperative model in class VII 2 at SMPN 1Tual and in class VII 4 SMPN 4 Dullah were in effective category, and (iv) Mathematics learning through the implementation of the combination of open-ended approach and scientific approach of cooperative model was effective in class VII at SMPN in Tual City.
