Abstract

ABSTRAK MUHAMMAD YANI. 2019. Pengaruh Kecerdasan Emosional, Kecerdasan Adversitas dan Motivasi Belajar terhadap Hasil Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Parepare”. (Dibimbing oleh Nurdin Arsyad dan Awi Dassa) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan adversitas dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Ex-Post Facto dengan menggunakan Pendekatan Kausalitas. Adapun populasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu sebanyak 128 siswa yang berasal dari lima SMA Negeri Parepar.. Dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling diperoleh 58 siswa yang dijadikan responden dalam penelitian ini.teknik pengumpulan data penelitian yaitu menggunakan teknik angket dengan memberikan lembar angket kecerdasan emosional, lembar angket kecerdasan adversitas dan lembar angket motivasi belajar serta menggunakan teknik tes dengan memberikan tes hasil belajar matematika berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 nomor dan 4 nomor soal essay. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan analiais regresi linear untuk menjawab hipotesis yang diberikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, maka disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata variabel kecerdasan emosional sebesar 83,26 (kategori sangat tinggi), kecerdasan adversitas sebesar 82,97 (kategori sangat tinggi), motivasi belajar sebesar 76,79 (kategori sedang) dan nilai rata-rata variabel hasil belajar matematika sebesar 79,25 (kategori sedang); 2) Kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan adversitas dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare; 3) Kecerdasan emosional, dan kecerdasan adversitas secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare; 4) Kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare 5) Kecerdasan adversitas dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare; 6) Kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare; 7) Kecerdasan adversitas berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare; 8) Motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika Siswa Kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri Kota Parepare. ABSTRACT MUHAMMAD YANI. 2019. The Influence of Emotional Intelligence, Adversity Intelligence, and Learning Motivation on Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Students of Grade XI IPA at Public Senior High Schools in Parepare (supervised by Nurdin Arsyad and Awi Dassa). This study aims at explaining the influence of emotional intelligence, adversity intelligence and learning motivation on Mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used is Ex-Post Facto using a causality approach. The population of the study were 128 students taken from five public senior high schools in Parepare. Samples were selected by employing proportional random sampling technique and obtained 58 students as research respondents. The research data collection techniques employed questionnaire of emotional intelligence, questionnaire of adversity intelligence, questionnaire of learning motivation, and test of mathematics learning outcomes in a form of multiple choice with 25 questions items and 4 essay items. The analyses employed in this study were descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with linear regression analysis to answer the hypothesis given. The conclusions of the study are 1) The results of the descriptive analysis show that the average value of the emotional intelligence variable is 83.26 (very high category), adversity intelligence is 82.97 (very high category), learning motivation is 76.79 (moderate category) and the average variable score of mathematics learning outcome is 79.25 (moderate category); 2) Emotional intelligence, adversity intelligence and learning motivation collectively give positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare; 3) Emotional intelligence, and adversity intelligence collectively give positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare; 4) Emotional intelligence and learning motivation collectively give positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare 5) Adversity intelligence and learning motivation collectively give positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare; 6) Emotional intelligence gives positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare; 7) Adversity intelligence gives positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare; 8) Motivation for learning gives positive influence on mathematics learning outcome of Students of grade XI IPA at public senior high schools in Parepare.
