Abstract

ABSTRACT This type of study is experimental research that aims (1) to describe learning outcomes before and after being taught cooperative learning of Learning Cycle-5E type, students’ activities, students’ responses, and the achievement of teacher’s activities, (2) to describe learning outcomes before and after being taught cooperative learning of TAI type, students’ activities, student’s response, and achievement of teacher’s activities, (3) to discover the differences in Mathematics learning outcomes between students who were taught using cooperative learning model of Learning Cycle-5E type, and students who were taught using cooperative learning of TAI type, (4) to discover the difference in response between students who were taught using cooperative learning of Learning Cycle-5E type and cooperative learning of TAI type. The results of the study reveal that (1) the learning outcomes after being taught cooperative learning of Learning Cycle-5E type showed improvement based on the learning result which achieved the mean score 80,30 with deviation standard 9,912, students were active to follow the leaning, and students’ responses were positive on learning, (2) the learning outcomes after being taught cooperative learning of TAI type showed improvement based on the mean score 74,13 with deviation standard 9,716 students were active to follow the leaning, and students gave positive response n Learning, (3) the cooperative learning of Learning Cycle-5E type and cooperative learning of TAI type applied to grade VII students at SMPN 5 Tutar were stated as the same (no difference), and (4) there were different response between students who were taught using cooperative learning of Learning Cycle-5E type and the ones using cooperative learning of TAI type.
