Abstract
The study aims at describing (1) creative thinking insolving Math problems done by students with estrovert personality type, (2) creative thinking in solving Math problems done by students with introvert personality type. The type of this study is descriptive-qualitative research. The subjects of the study were two categories of introvert personality. The instruments used in this study were the main instrument and supporting instrument. The main instrument was the researcher herself and the supporting instruments were problem solving test, personality test, and interview guidelines. The study employed methods triangulation, namely test given technique and interview. the test results of creative thinking through problem solving were categorized based on the creative thinking indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, and originality. The result of the study reveal that (1) both students with extrovert personality succeeded to meet the three indicators of creative thinking which covered fulency, flexibility, and originality. They could provide numerous answers and produced different answer. Both two students were also to solve the problems by suing more than one solution, (2) both student with introvert personality succeeded to meet two indicators of creative thinking which covered fluency and flexibility for TPM I. They could provide numerous answers, but could not produce different answers. Both student were also solved the problems by using more than one solution; whereas the TPM II, both students with introvert personality did not meet the three indicators of creative thinking which covered fluency, flexibility, and originality.
