Abstract

Abstract : The most intriguing issue to study in the area of industries is knowledge management. Konwledge Management. Knowledge Management ( KM) is currently not only a pivotalrol in dhe company. Are but also in the education practice. Dhe central focus of this study is to investigate the knowledgent management practices in the English as a foreign language (EFL) classroom in higher education in Indonesia. The students of English literature study program faculty of langguange and literature and dhestudent of English education end graduate program state university of Makassar are the subjects of this study. This study omploys SECI model from ekujiro nonaka and hirotaka takeuchi (1995). SECI model is tarted is started with socialization in wich the tacit knowledgen trangsfer exist from ndividual to others in the organization , flowed by externalization, combination, and internalization in wicht that now lagent sharing, kowledgen, creation, end knowledge ackuisitions of EFL students in the EFL classroom setting and higher education are low. The implication of this study is that the educational practitioners at macro level faculty members at the university, teachers and students at school need employ SACI model in the EFL classroom to create tacit and explicit knowledgent, to acquire tacit and esplicit knowledge, and to share taci and explicit knowledge.
