Abstract
ABSTRAK UMAR MANSYUR. Evaluasi Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru Bahasa Indonesia SMP Peserta MGMP dan yang Bukan Peserta MGMP di Kabupaten Pinrang. (Dibimbing oleh H. Paturungi Parawansa dan H. Akmal Hamsa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kompetensi pedagogik guru Bahasa Indonesia SMP peserta MGMP dan yang bukan peserta MGMP di Kabupaten Pinrang dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasinya yaitu keseluruhan guru bahasa Indonesia tingkat SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Pinrang yang berjumlah 104 guru. Penarikan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, diambil 20% dari total populasi, yakni 20 sampel: 10 guru sebagai peserta MGMP dan 10 guru sebagai yang bukan peserta MGMP. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket kompetensi pedagogik, lembar penilaian RPP, dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu penyebaran angket, mengumpulkan dokumen RPP, dan melaksanakan observasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif jenis persentase dan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) dalam merencanakan pembelajaran, kompetensi pedagogik guru bahasa Indonesia peserta MGMP 9 orang (90%) dikategorikan baik dan 1 orang (10%) amat baik, sedangkan yang bukan peserta MGMP 7 orang (70%) dikategorikan baik dan 3 orang (30%) cukup; (ii) dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, kompetensi pedagogik guru bahasa Indonesia peserta MGMP 8 orang (80%) dikategorikan baik dan 2 orang (20%) amat baik, sedangkan yang bukan peserta MGMP 7 orang (70%) dikategorikan cukup, 2 orang (20%) baik, dan 1 orang (10%) sedang; dan (iii) dalam mengevaluasi pembelajaran, kompetensi pedagogik guru bahasa Indonesia peserta MGMP 9 orang (90%) dikategorikan baik dan 1 orang (10%) amat baik, sedangkan yang bukan peserta MGMP 7 orang (70%) dikategorikan cukup, 2 orang (20%) baik, dan 1 orang (10%) dikategorikan sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diajukan saran, yakni guru bahasa Indonesia SMP di Kabupaten Pinrang yang kurang aktif MGMP, sebaiknya semakin aktif mengikuti kegiatan MGMP, dan bagi yang sudah aktif hendaknya dapat berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman, serta memacu guru-guru lain yang belum pernah atau kurang aktif agar giat mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan MGMP; LPMP Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan, Dikpora Kabupaten Pinrang, dan para kepala sekolah, hendaknya memberikan bantuan dan melakukan gerakan bersama memberdayakan MGMP sebagai forum atau wadah bagi para guru bahasa Indonesia di Kabupaten Pinrang untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan kompetensi secara profesional. The study aimed at evaluating pedagogy competence of bahasa Indonesia of Junior High Schools teachers of MGMP participants and MGMP non-participants in Pinrang District in terms of planning, implementing, and evaluating the learning. The study was a quantitative research. The populations of the study were all 104 of bahasa Indonesia teachers in public Junior High Schools in Pinrang District. Sample were selected using purposive sampling technique which obtained 20% or 20 teachers from the total population consisted of 10 teachers as MGMP pasticipants and 10 teachers as MGMP non-participants. The instrument used were questionnaire of pedagogy competence, evaluation sheet of lesson plan, and observation sheet of the implemen-tation of learning activity. Data were collected by distributing questionnaire, collecting lesson plan documents, and implementing observation of learning activity. Data were analyzed by employing descriptive statistics analysis in types of percentage and the mean. The result of the study revealed that (i) in planning the lesson, pedagogy competence of bahasa Indonesia teachers of MGMP participants was 9 person (90%) in good category and 1 person (10%) in extremely good category, whereas non-MGMP participants was 7 person (70%) in good category and 3 person (30%) in fair category; (ii) in the implementation of learning, pedagogy competence of bahasa Indonesia teachers of MGMP participants was 8 person (80%) in good category and 2 person (20%) in extremely good category, whereas non MGMP participants was 7 person (70%) in fair category, 2 person (20%) in good category, and 1 person (10%) in fair category; and (iii) in evaluating the learning, pedagogy competence of bahasa Indonesia teachers of MGMP participants was 9 person (90%) in good category and 1 person (10%) extremely good category, whereas non MGMP participants was 7 person (70%) in fair category, 2 person (20%) in good category, and 1 person (10%) in fair category. The suggestions based on the study were teachers of bahasa Indonesia at Junior High Schools in Pinrang District who less active in MGMP should join the activities intensively; whereas the teachers who were already active should share the knowledge and experience and motivate other teachers to join the MGMP’s activities; LPMP of South Sulawesi Province, Dikpora in Pinrang District, and school principals should support and take actions in empowering MGMP as a form or media for bahasa Indonesia teachers in Pinrang District to improve their performance and competence professionally.
