Abstract

Abstract: Development of Computer-Assisted Constructivistic Biology Module for Second Semester of Grade XI Students at Senior High Schools. This study is research and development (R&D) which aims at developing computer-assisted constructivistic Biology module for the second semester of grade XI students at senior high schools which is valid, practical, and effective. The stages of research and development referred to ADDIE development model which consisted of 5 stages, namely (1) analyze; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation; and (5) evaluation. The assessment instruments consisted of three, namely (1) validity instrument in forms of module validity assessment instrument and questionnaire validity assessment instrument, (2) practicality instrument in a form of teachers and students’responses questionnaire on module and learning implementation observation sheet, and (3) effectiveness instrument in forms of students’ affective questionnaires and students’ learning evaluation test. Based on data analysis, it is obtained that the average of module validity assessed by two assessors is 4,3. The module practicality taken from teachers’ responses is 93.33% (very strong), and students’ response is 33.33% which is in very strong category, and 66.67% is in strong category. While the result of total average of learning implementation is 1.56 which is completely conduced category. The module effectiveness obtained from students’ affective is 16.67% which is in very strong category, 76.67% is in strong category, and 86% students achieved learning completeness score. The conclusion based on the result of the study is the computer-assisted constructivist Biology module developed is valid, practical, and effective.
